The 4451 hasn’t had this problem for me like the 4166. I’m guessing the faster burn rate has something to do with it.

I bought one of the first lots of the 4451 and loved it. I put aside my
R-16 over it. Bought a new lot and shot that down to my last pound.
Jeremiah Keefe gave me his remaining 4451 in a trade, and that was
a different lot. Still good to go. I bought 2 lbs of 4166 to test. One is
about half empty from about two years ago. After reading your post,
I just opened it, and it's still good. I have quite a bit of fire forming
coming up on a new cat, so I'll earmark the remaining 4166 just for
that, since it's now in the history books. Really going to miss the 4451
when gone.

I have 2 of the Enduron . Seemed dirtier then single base IMR powder. Left over bismuth?
Accuracy was ok in 223 & 243win.

After seeing this post I checked the 2 lbs of 4166 I have and use, with good results in one 6.5 I use. It looks and appears just fine. Same results as FUJ posted.
Wonder if other have the same problem with 4166 did, or it was something to do with how he has had it stored ?

I still have some 4166 that was bought in 2021. The jug is checked regularly since the first incident was reported… all is well, nothing abnormal has been detected.

No sir. I check it every month since Enduron problems were reported. Bought in 2020.
Same with 4955 and 7797.

Unfortunately I'm not using any of it currently. Those barrels are replaced and prefer Retumbo, 4831 and H1000.

I just bought two unopened 8 pound jugs of N-133 from Ralph Council‘s estate. The date codes were 1995.

I openned both, and they smelled great. I shot them 2 week ends ago and it shot great.
