Well I went the Auto Trickler route...

I went back to the A&D FX120i scale and decided this time I was going to try the Auto Trickler. I did not get the auto throw option as I can easily drop charges with my Lee dipper set through a funnel in the lid (which works great BTW) took some fiddling to get it figured out and running smoothly but once I did it will drop 13 out of 15 right on the mark with IMR4451 and the other 2 are just .02 off. Neat setup, glad I spent my tax money for something that actually works properly.

My seven year old Sartorius finally quit on me. I was never really impressed with it because it would fluctuate so much. I was mainly looking for a new scale when I came across the Auto Trickle. I do a lot of load development for Bullseye, NRA Precision Pistol. I bought the complete system. Most of my loads are in the 4gr range. I was bummed out when I discovered the powder throw on top would throw no less than 8grs. I just use the trickler for my loads. It takes around 8 seconds per load. What I really like is the scale. It is rock solid. You don't have to wait on it to settle down like the Sartorius. All in all I am very satisfied with the system.

When I got my A&D, I initially use my (now) unreliable Chargemaster for the bulk charge, then used a case funnel through the lid, similar to yours, but I hand trickled with a standard trickler into the funnel to complete the charge. This was prior to going "full auto" with the Autotrickler kit. Love the automation now.

What funnel are you using? I have a setup like coldboreshot described above. Charge a 0.1 grain lower charge with chargemaster, transfer it to A&D and hand trickle the remaining kernels. I like you funnel setup. It would save a whole lot of time by just using a powder funnel and dropping a bulk charge instead of using a chargemaster.
