I have both in hand. They look nothing alike!
Yah we established they are not the same. Still I would say that as 4064 would be an excellent Varget replacement.

Back in those day's you just went over to your neighbors andHow did we survive in the 70's and 80's with so few choices of powders, now we have way too many.
Its crazy.
The powder I want resurrected is IMR 4320.Back in those day's you just went over to your neighbors and
borrowed a cup of Dupont IMR 4064. It was the Franks hot sauce
of the day....."We put that sh_t in everthing" !!
I sure hope that they don’t come out and say the Enduron powders are dangerous to store. I got a whole bunch of the 4451, loaded and in jugs.
I had 10 pounds of IMR 4007SSC I had to dump due to their recall. They made right by me with payment but that didn't help fill the 10 pounds of powder I just lost.![]()
I’m curious how they know if a guy really gets rid of the powder, or not…
after looking at the recent prices for IMR powders, I will stay with VHT powders as they are cheaper now!Received this from a reliable supplier.
"Hodgdon has discontinued their Enduron Line of Powders.
These include 4166, 4451, 4955, 7977 and 8133. And, then for a one - two punch Hodgdon raised powder prices mainly the remaining IMR branded Powders this ranges 10-16 percent. One has to remember that some IMR Powder is made in Australia and most is made in Canada."
I believe someone bought that manufacturing facility. If it’s the same facility, it was shut down from a explosion in the BP milling room. This last spring I spoke to someone on a phone call who is the firearms support industry about this. Can’t remember who it was.Hodgdon is shuttering their black powder mill in Florida. Good luck.
I still have a 1 1/2 cans of IMR-4320 from Dad's reloading bench!The powder I want resurrected is IMR 4320.
Varget burn rate with the density of a ball powder. Incredibly accurate.
Good news if true.I believe someone bought that manufacturing facility. If it’s the same facility, it was shut down from a explosion in the BP milling room. This last spring I spoke to someone on a phone call who is the firearms support industry about this. Can’t remember who it was.
Would be interested in talking to you about that 8133 you have. Thanks! This is crap news. Imr4451 did alright for me. I bought 5# imr8133, but never got to it. Now I'll probably sell it to someone who needs it more than me.
This really stinks.
