LGS told me he's paying $62.99. He has it priced $74. To be honest he told me ahead of time it would happen.

This is the next one making the jump. Scheels in Missoula has had AA powders on the shelves pretty regular for awhile now up until a few weeks ago they were mostly $34 to 36$ A pound. Today they are all over $40 and up to $45 for 4350. With a store’s overhead and limited availability the good old days are behind us. Throw in there the value of the dollar and prices on everything are going no where but up.Last year had a new rifle I wanted to try reloader 17 in but it was non existing. I ended up giving accurate 2700 a try because it was also listed and I ve never tried it. I have been very happy with it accuracy and es has been good and it sells for a reasonable price in today's world. Also most shops that sell reloading supplys have accurate powder on there shelves.

Reminds me of an inscription on a 6,000 year old Egyptian tomb:You know it's funny. Just yesterday, I was thinking about how we've all been trained since we were little kids to accept this gradual decline. Not only of our wealth, but our infrastructure. Moral decline is just considered being the more "modern" . And anyone who takes a stand morally against any issue is just "old-fashioned" . It's old-fashioned to believe that Americans should make all their own products. It's old fashioned to work with your hands. It's old-fashioned to keep your guns at home, and leave others alone in the world. Honestly, in a lot of ways I don't recognize this place anymore. It's a new place. Something twisted from the old place. A pile of bones.
Thanks for the reminder on the 2700 powder. Brownell’s has a sale on it, plus I could use a promo code.Last year had a new rifle I wanted to try reloader 17 in but it was non existing. I have A Full Natchez catalogue from 2022 and the prices from then to now (powder) are almost $200 per #8The day is coming that you will wish you could get powder at todays prices, everybody should take pictures at their LGS of the prices and compare them to next year….
Good move. I am swapping over to VV as well. I find it cleaner burning and so far reaching app. the same speeds as with the Hodgdon. Accuracy is great so far.Reluctantly, I have realized that the price of Powder, as well as everything else,!has been skyrocketing. Why though, does it seem that Alliant powders are so much more than everyone else’s? Is it greed for profit? I now find myself switching to Vitahvouri powders, which I would have never foreseen. They went from being the most expensive, to the cheapest! Lol. Honestly, in my 40 years of reloading, I have never used these powders, but I have always heard wonderful things about them, so I must say I am looking forward to using them and working up new loads. Oh well, I guess in life we must pivot from time to time. I guess it keeps things interesting? (Glass half full way of thinking).
