how can this possibly be legal. I also heard that criminals that illegally own firearms are told the 5th admendment doesn't make them register them..

I live about 20 miles outside of Chicago and have never heard of anything like this happening. There just might be more to the story if it is in fact true. RayJim G said:Last year at Camp Perry I was paired with a Naval reservist who lived near Chicago. He told me he will not travel with a firearm unless he has orders showing he needs to. He also told me that he has an older friend in the city, that called him up saying he was not feelingwell. The Naval reservist went over to his friends house and recognized that he was having a heart attack. He called 911 and after a length of time and no ambulance, he looked outside and saw the ambulance parked up the street. He tried to wave them down to the house but they would not move. The police showed up and then they came to the house. The ambulance personnel said they can not enter a house if firearms are present until the police secure it. Another benefit of a FOID card.
