Couple of many possible sources.

Another way guns are being confiscated. From people who have committed a crime and now should not have a firearm (felon, mentally ill, etc.). Watch this. The definition of who should not have a firearm is easily expanded, to possibly include YOU. A woman and her husband had their guns confiscated not long ago, because the woman was given a prescription for anti-anxiety pills. Mentally unstable? A big "maybe".

For those determined to be ineligible for possessing a gun (mentally ill, convicted felon, etc..), it is already happening in CA. At an accelerated rate because the state robbed $24M out of the firearm Dealer Record Of Sale fund to pay for additional agents.

Just a heads up for Illinois residents(I am one), if you have firearms in the home everyone of legal age should have a FOID card. If the owner of the firearms passes away or abandons the premises, the firearms are illegal to the premises if the occupant/owner does not have a valid FOID to have physical possession of those firearms, regardless who actually owns those firearms. Interesting state to live in, most of us have had all this Illinois legislation brot on slowly so no one notices. Illinois--The State where your EX GOVERNOR makes your license plate.

Last year at Camp Perry I was paired with a Naval reservist who lived near Chicago. He told me he will not travel with a firearm unless he has orders showing he needs to. He also told me that he has an older friend in the city, that called him up saying he was not feelingwell. The Naval reservist went over to his friends house and recognized that he was having a heart attack. He called 911 and after a length of time and no ambulance, he looked outside and saw the ambulance parked up the street. He tried to wave them down to the house but they would not move. The police showed up and then they came to the house. The ambulance personnel said they can not enter a house if firearms are present until the police secure it. Another benefit of a FOID card.

I live about 20 miles outside of Chicago and have never heard of anything like this happening. There just might be more to the story if it is in fact true. Ray

I concur. Also have several friends that are Chicago PD and they have never heard such a thing either.

Executive orders giving health officials more power will be a back door way for gun confiscation and wait for Obamacare to take complete hold! They have already confiscated guns from a man in NY for getting anti-depressants 8-10 yrs prior!

That will just stop people who need a little help from getting help. We know not even 1% of those who get anti-depressants will ever do anything violent. That includes shouting.

That is exactly what I thought, That is a good example of government messing everything up! You will just have more people unwilling to get help because there afraid! Who knows maybe this is what the Government wants so they can pin gun violence on the average Joe instead of the mentally sick! Causing more people to slip through the cracks.
