Thread 'Is this an excessive lenght chamber?'

My .308 has a chamber length of 2.068 measured many times with a Sinclair chamber guage.

Sammi Trim length for the .308 is 2.015 . Where should I be trimming 2.020 or more, or never trimming until it approaches chamber length? Or just 2.020 so that it is consistant. Doubt that it will ever stretch to chamber lenght.

fguffey had the unique ability to answer the unasked question incorrectly.
I actually miss his responses. Especially when he would wind himself up into super cruise with bumping shoulders.

He didn’t move the shoulder, he created a new shoulder in a different location! At least that’s the way that I read his bizarre messages. I always enjoyed his posts, they were great comedy.

Lol, thats how I always interpreted his rambling. I don't know if he was unable or unwilling to understand that shoulder is a geometry and not a specific section of the case. His pedantic posts almost read as a soliloquy, lol!
