800 to 1000 rds is what I was thinking. It would just be a Coyote rifle. I would like something that will shoot 300 to 400 fps faster than my 22-6MMAIBarrel life will suffer from the hyper-speeds and quickly as well.

That's my line of thinking for my heavy weight 6mm projectile, I'd like to get near 3500 FPS with the 103/108 class.800 to 1000 rds is what I was thinking. It would just be a Coyote rifle. I would like something that will shoot 300 to 400 fps faster than my 22-6MMAI
Dave, what velocity was you obtaining with the 6MM AI with the 80g bullets..could possibly be a good round for those longer shots on Roe Deer. The best all round varmint rifle I ever wore out was 6MM Rem AI, 1-12 shooting 80 gr. FB bullets. Works well out to 800 yds. The most fun is a 17-224 Wby. 30 gr bullets @3400. Good to about 500 yds.
Yes it would. 80's @ 3400+Dave,what velocity was you obtaining with the 6MM AI with the 80g bullets..could possibly be a good round for those longer shots on Roe Deer.
Sounds like a interesting round Dave.i do like the 6BR for Roe Deer..85grn bullet does the job nicely.Yes it would. 80's @ 3400+
You can do just about the same thing with a 243AI
I shoot Sierra Blitzking 55 gr at just over 4100 fps in my 6 MM AI with 13.5 twist22-243 Middlested.i do like the 220 Swift.ive shot quite a few foxes at range day and night with the 220.pretty potent on foxes.i like the idea of the 6MM REM,AI
Not exactly legal but I've done bit shooting up north over there with 6MM's 85's@3500Sounds like a interesting round Dave.i do like the 6BR for Roe Deer..85grn bullet does the job nicely.
A 6-284 with powders like RL17 and a 26in barrel you could probably get the Nosler 55's up around 4300 - 4300+ depending on how hard you wanted to stand on the gas. Nosler bullets are generally a little tougher construction and can take more abuse before they go poof so they'd be a bullet I'd try.I shoot Sierra Blitzking 55 gr at just over 4100 fps in my 6 MM AI with 13.5 twist
I'm sure every barrel is different, my 6mm AI, 26" barrel. 3500 FPS with 90 gr. TgK's, and 3350 FPS with 105's. Both with H4831SC.Yes it would. 80's @ 3400+

I have the 300 Warbird and it will push everything faster than the 30-378.30-378 Weatherby

complemented with the full host of the rest of countless other goodies that make it a reliable still with full creature comforts ride. Definitely hard on tires and citations. Full Hot Rod power Tour last year just over 3k in 8 days plus a few trips to Ridgway and one to Detroit.
Now I want to go 351 Windsor based to in the 400+ ci range. !
Not really sorry for the thread derailment either. I’ve been drinking.
I did a great deal of shooting with the 30 378 before it became available to the public and there's a great deal to be said about that big 30.30-378 Weatherby
Winner, winner, chicken dinner.Gentlemen, I present... the ".220 REDLINE"
I like wildcats. And being an avid predator hunter, I've gravitated toward 'hotrod' type cartridges...fast & flat is where it's at!!! Maximum point blank range and terminal performance on critters are key elements for a 'hotrod' to improve upon, over factory available cartridges. Ideally...forum.accurateshooter.com
