Does IBS allow scoring by any of the electronic target systems?
Thanks in advance!

Are you sure a yard stick is big enough for yours??
True, it could help by needing less pit crew help. It would also aid the shooters at the bench not to mention count the shots on paper.. Still useful even if you keep the scoring room.Jeff I know there have been people DQ'ed for not having them all on paper! With electronic targets you would know that you hit the target 10 times, even if there was double that was too close to tell by looking. The targets can still be measured to ensure accuracy. And it should tell you were to look for the double.

Didn't mean to ruffle your shooting bag but I heard that at least they can count shots, I know for sure the one mile cameras count them very well. But it was just a thought to try and help.If you think an Etarget has never missed a shot then dream on. If you have a target to be measured then you still need to change every relay and keep up the Etargets system. I must be missing something. Seems like more work.
Of course you know that the GBA is going to allow e-targets and I'm looking forward to see how they work for Dead Zero and a long with the E-targets that Harry Jones is going to have to test the flexibility in relation to hard targets it very well may be a thing of the future granted if you shoot a world record they will be some discretion but we need to learn the deal with certain things if clubs want to make it a better situation the word there's no pit Crews involved I don't know the right answer but we got to be able to work together and see if it is something that will be interesting to our sport. As of today, they're not allowed for or the reasons Jeff posted. Heck I've seen 1000 yard aggregates decided by less than 10 thousandths.
I believe to make them allowed, but not mandatory ($$$$ reasons)"in addition to" would probably be a wise choice to pursue. It would seem to be a win win used the way I'm thinking of. You have an additional shot "counter" in the event of a double tap as Joe mentioned. You have the ability to pursue live (unofficial) scoring. And you have official target paper, and humans measuring to compare the "official" results, which should/could help with technology to make affordable e target's the best they can be....Basically a continuous test of e target accuracy.

No sir I think the intent at Harry Jones is going to be they will hang a hard target on the electronic Target because they have a pit crew and they have to hang the rest of the score targets and they're going to compare the electronic side of measurement 2 The Hard Target measurement and it will be interesting to see how that comes into play we definitely need something to compare with the the E-targets when you go to record on a targets you do not have the tablet available to see your hits you're shooting in the blind just like you would on a hard target.Just thinking how nice it is when I practice using my camera system. I can see where each shot hits and make adjustments if needed. The camera is like cheating compared to those shooting without a camera.
Guessing the same can be said for E Targets. To allow something like that would sure change IBS shooting and surely other disciplines.
