My computer skills suck, but hell if I can do pics I will see about video chit. I made that one about 5 years ago to ignite a stubborn brush pile using gasoline for an accelerant. That WOOF upon ignition can be problematic. I had three good matches in the RV and used them. I think the EPA has stepped in and the matches I got locally won't ignite. I ordered some from Amazon, be here in a few days. Hopefully they work and I can figure out videos.

We would run out of fire crackers that we got from the long haul truckers at the A & A. Then you would break off one roll from the stack and using your dad's hammer you would whack the roll on the sidewalk. Very loud. What ear protection? You could get sometimes three good Kabooms form one roll. My dad couldn't figure out why the sidewalks were breaking up.

I remember Yosemite Sam, The Three Stooges , Bugs Bunny, Road Runner ,Sky King and some the rest.
They were more entertaining than some of this crap that they say is entertainment.
The political agenda said ole Yosemite was too violent. I think the Three Stooges became politicians. Bugs was too smart for them,Road Runner was too fast for them,Sky King was too honest for them.
Oh well,life goes on.

You had to be a farmer or a Redneck to have a P/U truck. No self respecting city slickers would be caught in one.

....playing "Kick the Can" and "Annie Annie Over". Putting pennies on the railroad tracks to make them as big around as a fifty cent piece and quite thin. I remember fifty cent pieces. Back in the day if you had one you had what is known today is major buying power. You could get a couple of tubes of BBs, enough candy to last all day and still have change.

I use to build a target from a box filled with old carpet pieces for shooting in the house. I lived in a rain forest on the Oregon Coast. So we had to work around the 110 inches of rain per year we had there. But reusing the BB's was easy and I didn't have to buy tons of BB's as I shot a lot.

Summer i was 5, 1963? Chores at home worth a quarter a week. 2 stick or 3 stick kite and spool of COTTON string less than 25 cents. City made sales tax down to 24 so now a kite is 26 cents. My introduction to government.
Loved those paper kites. Red white blue with stars n stripes. Another was dark red with a rocket in black.
Then the vinyl bat kites hit the market, nylon frizzy kite string. Ohhh puhleeese.
Give me cotton, paper and spruce sticks.
Most victims fed to one tree in particular. Magnetic!
Couple years later Hurricane Betsy got us out of school at noon. The eye came over late. Mom and 2 sisters went out but she did not wake my brother and I.
Bb gun rotten tree shoot lizards (anoles?) All day.

I remember when

You could buy 28 rounds of Remington Rocket or Peters Thunderbolt shorts in the "Chiclet" flat box with the cellophane window for around 35 cents. If you find an intact box of them now serious cartridge collectors will pay around 100 times that much for it.

Also remember loose dynamite and caps by the cash register in the local Hdw. store in Montgomery WV.
