I got sidetracked-

i hear ya john! bout the only good thing i can say about living in allegany county is we can use rifle, shoot deer in the daytime, shoot yoties at nite. we also have bobcat but no season on them yet them yet, ??? i didnt get any doe tags either, i did get a few from friends, but i know a bunch of people that get doe tags and never use them, dodnt make sence that dec keeps giving them to people that dont use them.

That is quite weird isnt it.The DEC is headed up by statisticians who have there head up there #$S.

Thanks jon :)
Maybe if the good Lord willing I could make it out your way someday.Maybe we could drive up to Preacher's awesome place,
yes I like that thought, it will give me a goal to look forward to ;D
Thanks again jon.

Wayne, If you come that far, we will need to do some hunting together as well. Make it an Accurateshooter hunting tour. ;)

Preacher might need to build a new condo, we probably won't all fit in the one he has now! ;D

But it would be fun to have a big hunting get-together with guys from different corners of the country, regardless of where it was. Wayne from Washington, I'm in Maine, you guys in New York, all from different walks of life, all love one thing, shooting and hunting.

And there are some big old deer in this corner of the world as well, at least in my neck of the woods.
I'm going to my camp in a day or two, I'll get a pic of my wall-hanger so you can see what I mean. ;)

wow i feel for you folks where they won't let you hardly hunt.
here in oklahoma we have 3 months of bow 1 week of blackpowder and a combined 3 weeks of gun. every body is allowed to get a total of 7 deer if they participate in each season but no more than 2 bucks are allowed, and i get upset about that. we also have coyotes ,bobcats, and in the far eastern corner of the state we know have black bear and all have seasons. Sorry if i sound like i was rubbin it in really i was not, i just always thought we had it bad.

jraney--I finally broke down early this year and bought a 50D Canon, and a STS HD Swarovski and one of their 800 mm adaptors to join the two together for my October Antelope hunt in Wyoming.. 90% of the photo's in this thread were taking with that. The rest were with my little F50-SE pocket sized Fuji.........

That's a really nice camera set-up Preacher. It does take very nice photos. I had actually wondered how you had taken such clear pictures that seemed to be zoomed in a lot on objects a good ways away. Now I understand why they all look so good, high end optics work wonders. Though you still need to know how to operate them as well, which you obviously do. Really nice work Preacher, really nice.

Hey Bruce;
You know that old saying about great minds!!!! I just received my Christmas present (from ME) which was a Canon 60D. I got the Canon EF-L 24-105 lens and the 70-200 2.8 EF-L IS II lens. I love this thing except for the massive file sizes. But, I don't want to change the size setting in fear of loosing image quality. :)
I am also getting ready to spring for a new spotting scope. That Swaro setup sounds nice. I have also still been considering the Rogue River Super Scope due to the vision problems I have. But with the RR I doubt that I would have any camera connectivity with it.
