Only one button in the bunch guys, my 50X HD Swarovski tells me thats true..The one doe doing the chasing is always tormenting the little ones for no good reason, she'll spend the winter in my freezer because of it..
Lots of activity on and off most of the day, and one of grandpas kids showed up at the far edge of the field at 3:30, but he never came into the field. If it had been Grandpa, the photo's would be better tonight 'O)

Earlier in the day a big doe got close enough (38 yd's) to hear the shutter on the camera, they sure can get long necked in a hurry...... She must have figured it was a woodpecker, because she just went on her way.....

This is real interesting. Keep it up.

Would be neat to line up two coons for ONE shot and get both. I have done it with crows.

What about a two-fer on does?

Great pictures to go with the stories I check your thread all the time looking for updates and waitin on grandpas picture sooner or later he'll be by!

11" of new wet snow landed overnight and I had a heck of a time getting up to the condo this morning, it took me a little better than a hour to get there, it's usually a 10 minute ride. I made so much darn noise getting the 4 wheeler up the incline in back of the house, and through the next ravine, I figured I scared everything in their right mind out of the area...
Either I did, or the snow got to them, as I didn't see a living thing up there the 8 hours I sat there.... Calling for high winds and more snow tomorrow so I doubt it will be any better, but I'll be there to make sure..... at least I have a path now :)

Lots of new snow again overnight, so I chained up the 4 wheeler and didn't have a problem getting up there again.... Not a living thing moved till noon when I saw a young doe moving behind me in the thickest stuff on the place. She hadn't moved very far when I found two more does bedded in there. They stayed in there until 4:35, and then went out to the field in belly deep snow, and moved into the timber West of the field, I couldn't see good enough to take a photo worth showing. This is the best it was all day.
7 more days to go....

Preacher,as you know I live near rochester and we are getting hammered now. This morning we had a dusting and now I have well over a foot by 4:00pm and now it is 9:54pm and we have around 18" or so.It is still pounding us non stop.Good luck to you.Dont risk your life if it gets to crazy. That is why god invented the reloading bench.

I doubt I can get the 4 wheeler back in there today, so I'll fire up the tractor and clean out about 2 foot of snow in my driveway...
Snows not supposed to let up till Thursday..... this may just be one of those rare no deer years.....

I cant believe all your snow we have had a dusting the past week or so with horrible winds and freezing cold temps! We didnt even have snow for our first day of rifle. Good luck to you still waiting on that grandpa pic to be posted!!!

Nothing moved yesterday morning even if the sky did clear for a few seconds. Shortly after noon it got to snowing again, really hard most of the time..
About 3 pm these two big doe's wandered across the field, and that was it for the day.. It's getting hard to deal with all this snow.
Today was a no show for anything moving up there, 23 degrees and no new snow.
Supposedly tomorrow will be a partly cloudy day, 36 degrees and no snow, I'll see about that, only 2 days to go...............
