I got sidetracked-

A big thanks to everyone for the kind comments, and I hope everyone has the best of the best for the new year.......
Here's a few of the little guys on the property, they are always safe till they reach 3 years old around here...
The lens set up has no zoom to it at all, it's just a flat 800 MM....
I'm working on a adapter to use my 8400 Nikon with the 25-50 lens on the Swarovski spotting scope, that will give me a lot of zoom room :)
These are all from the condo during gun season this year..

i have several pics of this deer from this year none are in the daytime. the smaller buck in the background got shot by me and my 22-250 at about 100yds, i was really happy with the way it performed. well enough said enjoy the pic.

jraney,
The primos camera did a excellent job, nice deer. I have a cuddyback game cam and I don't think the quality is as good as yours. The 22-250 isn't legal in this state anymore, to bad its a nice deer cartridge.

i might have missed it but what state you in. here in oklahoma a .22 caliber centerfire rifle that can fire a 55gr soft point or hollow point is legal i have killed a few with the .223 it is mainly shot placement that really counts i think. oh and thanks about the deer the camera is a friends but it is on my parents place where i hunt.

Sorry j,
Washington State. When I was a kid the local fish and game officer loaned me his .222 rem it was legal @ the time for deer but not elk, a few years later they made it where all big game hunting had to be done with .243 and up. I think you can still shoot cougars with .224?

I don't have a good pic of this years deer but here is one from I think 2007 with my two boys about 3:30 in the afternoon just after a short blizzard and we were feeding cattle over by the buildings in the back ground. We spotted this white tail up in this old rock pit and for some reason I brought my old smoke pole with me ;D Oh and did I mention it was my birthday ::)

My gosh wayne when you said it was a small buck I was picturing a tiny basket rack.I didnt know it was huge, good going I have never had a good opportunity in my life to get one that big with a gun. Now with a bow I have froze and missed at least 4 or 5 huge bucks and my nerves got me bad.Great deer!

That was a nice buck Wayne..
Got to love the game cameras.
I have a few bucks here that I have never seen in the day time in the fall.
As soon as the leaves start to turn they seem to go nocturnal around here...
