I found primers! No thanks

Don’t you worry! Have you forgotten? I haven’t! I have your box of primers sitting on my desk, fresh from Butch Lambert in Texas. I stopped by and had a nice visit with him, on my way back from Kerrville. I think, tho, that I’ll keep them and give you some others I have. Butch’s are Small Rifle Magnum primers. I think I have some Federals. Let me go look....... Hmmm.....I have these:

Will they do? Not Ms, but......
I also found the Varget you were seeking but I saw where you found a pound. I found it for $40/lb. Want more? I just need to find the time to get it to you.
PM you regarding this issue - thanks.

My local gun shop that carries reloading supplies finally got in some primers. They were the place that I purchased the last cci 450 primers approximately 2 years ago at $38.00 for 1k. Well I was pretty excited until I asked how much. $14.99 per 100. They did tell me I could purchase 1000 if I would like.
Thanks for leaving them for me I'll buy all i can get

I don't mind so much paying $149 for 1000 BR-2's. When it comes right down to it, it is a fraction of the cost to this sport. But the transport, Hazmat and Tax brings them to $204. If I could find some in a store as the OP did for $149, I would pick them up in a minute.

Be glad you are not looking for CCI-35. The lots I have were .35 each and now have gone over a buck each if you can find them. Don't even think about the price of bullets.

Our Cabela's has had them on the shelf for some time. At least for the last 2-3 months. No one is buying them. Nothing else just them.
I would love to find some CCI-34 for my M1 Garand .30-06 cases and of course some local CCI BR-2's. Haven't gotten hard up enough to pay the Online totals just yet.

I just payed $155 per 1K including shipping and hazmat for GM210M. Bought 2K. Is it expensive? Compared to the old days it is but I’m afraid this is going to be the norm. The good news is I now have 2K primers I can go shoot and have fun with.

As long as people keep paying those prices , those prices will exist...
Not everyone has a stockpile at home. They may need to buy them to keep shooting. And then when the people do have a stockpile at home then they are called hoarders.

well lets see when i graduated from HS primers were a penny each or a little less and a new chevy pickup was 3500.00. now the new truck is 20 times that (70K) and so seems primers would be 20 x a penny or 20 cents each?? 200.00/1000–
did i do it wrongo_O

Yes; by my math, primers should now be free; or ~$1.00 per thousand. I mean now that electric cars and trucks are taking over, that 350 Chevy should also be free and comes with a sign that says, will charge; for gas...

Don’t pay them don’t shoot!…. Is that like cutting off your own nose to spite your face?….

I bought what I needed when nobody wanted them because I knew what happened after sandy hook would happen again.... But I guess some haven't been loading that long or maybe didn't learn last time.... I simply shoot what's available in factory at a decent price during these times... If I can find plenty of .22 I shoot Rimfire pistol and rifle... If I can find 12ga which I have been doing mostly , I shoot skeet.. But unfortunately not very soon because primers have reached a price I won't pay... I know people paying $400 for a sleeve of cheddite primers right now , $56 a bag for shot , not me.. Like every other time this will eventually end , prices on ammo are coming down....

Hey this is America , if people pay $100+ for primers that's their business , just not for me... I can go shoot my bow in the back property for free , it's exactly why I built a archery lane with the money I saved not buying $100+ primers etc... The definition of cutting your nose off to spite your face is what's happening in America right now....

I agree with almost everything you just said. I’ve lived through several shortages!…. When Bush was about done I bought thousands upon thousands of dollars worth of components, when Obammy got out I did it again and really I’ve never stopped!… I’m not short on primers at all but if I was and I wanted to shoot I would pay the price and wouldn’t think twice about it.

I bought a few thousand small rifle primers and a thousand small pistol at these higher prices. Now I have enough to get me thru to next summer, maybe longer. I expect (hope? ) that prices will be lower by then. I’m not buying 5-10 thousand at these prices. Maybe I’m being too optimistic. We’ll see.
