How much would you pay for a good gun club membership?

My club has no initiation fee and $125 a year. if you live long enough and have been a member for several years, seniors pay nothing. We have 25,50, 100, and 200yd covered rifle range. We have a separate pistol ranges as well as trap, skeet, and sporting clays. i understand the machines on the shotgun ranges are pallet fed and a couple type remotes to be able to shoot by yourself. The rifle range and shotgun range each have clubhouses. Bathrooms are at both locations. Hope to have a 600yd range soon.

I agree as said above , i don’t really see a dollar amount a big deal as much as availability usage and let’s say atmosphere while there... I am a member on 3 miles away for ( just found out today they raised it from 75 to 100 this year) and I only shoot pistols there for most part... some times I’ll use 100 yd range there.. but mainly I like to go there and chit chat with fellow shooters... I might even go Sunday mornings and hang out with trap shooter guys even though I don’t do it any more just because I like the atmosphere ... it pb comes down to a couple of bucks a visit... which let’s face it .. that’s nothing as what I spend on stuff for my own range... I might spend 275... but just trying to decide exactly how often I could make it there ... if I could get there twice a month... it might be worth it... once a month .. I might just be better off doing something to my own range for 275... but that’s what’s available to me... if I didn’t have that available I wouldn’t think twice about it .. even if I only used it 6 times just for a place to shoot...

In the end i think it comes down to what you want and are comfortable with...

Gun clubs being successful depends on what you have to offer for the price you pay
You can do with volume or the price of membership
Personal I think volume is the best way
Most shooters can’t afford the coast
We have two clubs close
One charges $12.00 and is packed the other charges $27 and is loosing money
 
I have not read all of the replies.

The main and only question is "Whatsitworth to you with what is offered? Some folks buy a High Country or Denali and some are served with a used Colorado for range trips w gear.
 
I dont know what the max is I would pay but I'm paying about $300 total a year for membership to 2 ranges, 1 with 1000yd steel as the draw and its an hour away. The other is about 20 minutes away and is really a pistol and skeet centric club but it has a 100yd rifle range that is handy for zeroing and testing and there is rarely anybody there 75% of the time. One thing to consider about a club is when can you shoot and do you want to participate in matches. One of the 2 clubs I belong to has a match of some sort every Satruday that takes up much of the shooting bays and parking.
 
My local club charges $260 for your first year and $130 the next year. We have 22 ranges from 7yds to 200yds and paid RO's. Most firing lines are covered.

If I lived near Atlanta, GA the Riverbend Club north of ATL would be my first choice of a Club to join. Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun, Cowboy, Silhoutte all ina beautiful
setting.

You'll have to visit a few of the ranges in your new area, perhaps attend a match or two.
Then decide.
You may find a local range for load development with day fees then travel to a match.
No point in joining a range that takes 2 hours to get there at $3-400 a year
 
The $20 club has better ranges then the $100 "country" club. The fee of $100 helped pay for a $33,000 electric gate that records your data when card is inserted. The $20 club is 2 miles away, no gate.

$20 year / new member $40 per person & $100 year + new $100 family. is the low and high in my area. Many memberships are full. The state range permit is $35 , free if you have a hunting license.

Clubs should have 1 day per month when non-members can shoot for a fee.

One club has indoor pistol open to the public every Wed. For a fee.
Indoor archery is at another club, small fee.

The $20 no gate club found a car in the fishing pond at low water. Hasmat cleanup was $2200.

I didn't read all of the posts, but to the OP......I wouldn't have a problem paying what I pay for my country club membership provided it was top notch.

I pay $300.00 single and $450. for a family at out country club. I have my own range.
