How much chamfer is too much

I think an even chamfer will help the bullet enter straight and consistent so I use the redding tool that indexes on the flash hole. its the VLD one, and i go about half the brass thickness. On the outside i just touch it a turn or two, so the end of the neck is flat. It shows up on the amp trace a little tighter in the initial trace.

I believe you are over thinking it. Kiss it with the chamfer tool and go shoot.
Agreed here, KISS ^^^
Unless a guy shoots good enough to try and eek out 1/10ths of an inch at 600 yds
I dont think the small thousands of differences a chamfer makes on bullet hold will affect anything
Unless a person is good enough to consitently print 1 inch groups at 600...
...I doubt the vairance in any tiny chamfer on approx .012" thick brass is going to be seen on target.
