My 6.5x47 Lapua chamber is cut with a 0.293" neck diameter. My loaded rounds measure 0.290".
I'd like to turn the necks down a little to uniform the tension a little more. I'm comfortable running 0.004"clearance, which is what I'm using on my .284 rounds, but that doesn't allow me much clean up.
Do you think 0.005" to 0.006" is too much? What's the max clearance you would go? Thanks!
