Back in the Day
I don't compete at all but I find if I load up 100 rounds of a variety of bullets (say 10 of each of 10 different bullets) to blow out my brass some of the groups will be as tight or close to as anything I'll find down the road after all 100 pcs. are blown out. Most of the time 2,3, maybe 4 bullets will shoot tighter than the remainder of the 10 and that is where I will spend time with my next loads and narrow it down to one this time around. Needless to say, one particular good bullet could probably be chosen from the start and tuned on to get it there quicker but I like the idea of just seeing what works right out of the gate.
