TAC it is I guess, they just canceled my order for the AR Comp, TAC should suffice anyway. Edit: just saw the 8s in stock at PV, Im not ready for that commitment yet when I have a bunch of TAC laying around, no sense of adventure LOLjohn. according to the Western Powders edition 8.0, Tac with a 123gn SMK, they list a start load @25.4gns @2206fps and a max of 28.2gns @2424fps, their test barrel was a 20'' 1&10 twist,
What is the new ATF "RULE" you speak of? And yes, I have been under a rock for a bit, looking to update myself on any new laws/rules since I slid under said rock in 2020 or so, glad to be outBuilt an 11" AR pistol for my 9 year old son to get him into deer hunting with something small enough for our blinds and that he could handle. He's 11 now, and I have a 16.25" barrel on order to make it legal under the stupid new AFT "rule". Even at 11" it was a shooter, just VERY loud. I did that on purpose to shoot with a suppressor, which I just got in December. Would have been great, now it'll be LOOONG for the kid...probably hunt without the suppressor.

You know a pretty decent 150 load just popped up when I looked at my notes. With 308 it always depends on brass type but with Winchester 43 grains of h or imr 4895 or 42 of 8208 worked. With Lake city between 42 and 43 of either 4895. I imagine AR comp in that range would work too. Never tried AA 2495 but it’s likely right there also. There are likely some good 150-147 loads with h335 which has been available lately. Not sure about 3031 but I think it would be another candidate.Turp, my M1A has a Wilson SS 1&11 twist, I have some Extreme 147FMJ's that shot pretty good last time out using A2520, but the velocities were pretty low, 2450's so I'm going to try the A2460 @41gns and see what we get,
