Forum Problem

I’ve been having this through this week with my iPhone and iPad. It’s all sites though, and started after updates on both.

Yes, I believe what many of you guys are seeing is new browser software which is VERY aggressively tracking activity. Because Forums are such complex pages, with thousands of simultaneous users and hundreds of threads linked on the page, all those Google spiders are chewing up processing power. I use Chrome, and Edge, and Firefox. I believe Chrome is the most aggressive in tracking activity of those.

Mines just been this site only. Not meaning any fault of the boss, just saying.

C.E. -- From your history, 99% of your connections are on U.S. Cellular. I believe that may be the issue.

We deliver via Google Cloud server, with Sucuri downstream. There may be some handshake issues between Sucuri and U.S. Cellular.

I've had problems with the forum all day. When I went into a category and opened a thread and would scroll down, it went to a blank screen. When I tried to start a thread and clicked on the box to start a thread, it went to a blank screen (several times until I quit trying). Now that I'm able to enter this, I hit back space to correct a typo, it went to a blank screen again. None of the other web-sites I went to today exhibited any problems. The Accurate Shooter home page seems to be working without issue, only here at the forum.

Twice-pop is on ViaSat, a satellite Broadband. This again points to an issue with the IP. The AccurateShooter stories home page is stored pretty much in cache, so that may explain why it loads fast.

I just ran tests with four different website speed test sites including one test center that accessed the Forum simultaneously from 30 different locations around the globe. All North American sites display the entire Forum Home page in under 2.2 seconds. There were no errors. The page displayed in full.

I am thinking there are issues with some of the IP providers.

When Jay gets back from Berger SWN we will try to run further diagnostics....

I was blocked last month so in an emergency I reset my computer to factory which sucked but did it and it fixed whatever the problem was so in the end it was something on my computer that blocked me.

I can scroll down to the bottom of the page and as I go back up I can see iy but as it goes past bottom of screen it disappears. Edit: Odd, it seems intermittent. As soon as I posted this it all showed up correctly and I was able to scroll. I am Country Cable on wifi and US Cellular cell service.

Have you rebooted your phone? The issue is there
that is not the problem, the webpage is jumping around on me this morning, I can't see what I am typing. I just switched browsers to edge and it is working, chrome is not.

I had the exact problems in Chrome, and I did delete cookies and caches and it worked for a little while in Chrome and then the half a page (only the top part) showing. This was good early today and now it has appear again. Went to MS Internet Explorer to post this as it is working perfect in MS Explorer. Thank you,

Guys... please clear your cache. That may be called "history" or "temporary internet files". You may have to go to "library" or "security" -- the pathways vary from browser to browser.

We cannot seem to duplicate ANY of these issues on ANY platforms.

To test if this is a problem with Chrome. I just went to Chrome > three dots top right > Settings > About Chrome and did the update. This is what comes up:

Google Chrome is up to date
Version 80.0.3987.87 (Official Build) (64-bit)

No problems with the site on WiFi, zero, none.

No problems on Verizon Wireless on both Android and Iphone, zero, none.

Please also check your security settings. If they are on MAX, that may be an issue because we do NOT use HTTPS for the Forum.

Why? If we did, the vast majority of third-party hosted links and the photos would fail.

If you are having problems with Chrome -- what Operating System? What Version of Chrome. Do you REALLY know how to clear your cache?

Currently this means: Chrome > three dots top right > Settings > ADVANCED > Privacy and Security > Clear Browsing Data > Select All Time > Click on Browsing History, Download History, COOKIES and site data, Cached images and file. Then hit clear button.

IMPORTANT!!! Do NOT clear your passwords or hosted App Data

Late to the party. Same problem here. Re-booted twice. I have made no changes to my system and do a "clean up" regurally.
