+some loss, spillage etc but yes will be close.7000 grains in a pound so divide by your load weight.
Spillage?+some loss, spillage etc but yes will be close.
When I get done loading it looks like a mouse crapped all over my work bench.Spillage?Never! :-0
What twist is your barrel?270 rounds per tin for me. My pet load with 165gr RCBS cast bullets was 25.5 grains
Alright.........I lied! I spill! The worst situation for me is when I load 223 with ball powders in my custom aluminum shell blocks. They’re so tight, the spilled powder locks the brass in the block and I need pliers to pull them out. That ruins my day! When I get done loading it looks like a mouse crapped all over my work bench.
Surprise, surprise! I opened up a moving box in the shop and found 7 thousand small rifle primers!!! Some Federal, some Br-4s and 450s!So, my 400 pounds of Varget should last about 120,000 rounds for my .223. Now, where did I put those primers?

That I can't recall without digging around in the archives. My mate and I went halves in a 32 oe 33" match barrel from Truflite here in New Zealand and got them to make two max length XP100 barrels for our IHMSA shooting. What twist is your barrel?
What twist is your barrel?what difference does twist rate have to do with 7000 grain divided by load amp
I did that just this weekend and dumped another 95gr of powder in a case that was already charged. Not too long ago I stroked the Uniflow before I got the powder pan under it.
The brain was working faster than the hands!
I would bet you never got up very early for a bathroom stop and then charged (Varget) fifty primed .223 cases and seated bullets, then went to the range, took the first round out of the plastic case and then discovered you had primed exactly none of the cases.I did that just this weekend and dumped another 95gr of powder in a case that was already charged.
No........but back in 2003 we stopped over in Montana to do some ELR prairie dog shooting on our way to the NBRSA 1000 YD Nationals.I would bet you never got up very early for a bathroom stop and then charged (Varget) fifty primed .223 cases and seated bullets, then went to the range, took the first round out of the plastic case and then discovered you had primed exactly none of the cases.
