how many 30br rounds to a pound of powder?

I know this is going to be slightly different for each rifle/bullet but on average how many 30br round can you get from a pound of powder ?

Thanks

Moist paper towels work great on mouse crap...Battery powered vacuums also are a
nice addition.....I do know what you mean my friend.

Alright.........I lied! I spill! The worst situation for me is when I load 223 with ball powders in my custom aluminum shell blocks. They’re so tight, the spilled powder locks the brass in the block and I need pliers to pull them out. That ruins my day!

Same thing with the blue plastic Frankford Arsenal trays. Quit using them because of that. One selling point of them is that they come pre-warped so you don't have to wait for that to happen...

What twist is your barrel?
That I can't recall without digging around in the archives. My mate and I went halves in a 32 oe 33" match barrel from Truflite here in New Zealand and got them to make two max length XP100 barrels for our IHMSA shooting.
Absolute tack drivers with that 165gr bullet not that you need sub-MOA for the standard size Big bore targets but it was devastating also on the half-size ones. Head shot a magpie on the 175 yard berm the first time out getting sight settings which I think just gave me that feeling that if I missed targets it wasn't the gun fault. Sorry I sold it but you can't own pistols here in NZ unless you are actiovelty shooting them in competition. I have since got into the F-Class game so calibers and hardware change.

I would bet you never got up very early for a bathroom stop and then charged (Varget) fifty primed .223 cases and seated bullets, then went to the range, took the first round out of the plastic case and then discovered you had primed exactly none of the cases.
No........but back in 2003 we stopped over in Montana to do some ELR prairie dog shooting on our way to the NBRSA 1000 YD Nationals.

I had stayed up late into the wee hours of AM loading my old brass for my 7MM Boo Boo HG for the ensuing PD wars.

When the first two cartridges in one box of 50 failed to fire I suspected the primers. But when the third one in a row failed I started shaking the cartridges......yup no powder in any of that box.

Luckily I had two boxes loaded and the other box included powder.

Never did score a hit on an ELR PD. My shooting partner had the Varmint Hunters Long Shot of the Year so far for that year and I was trying to exceed that.......about 2500 yards. Had several near misses but "no catch 'em. My spotter said to put two or three in the air at one time but I was too concerned about burning up the throat for the ensuing Nationals.

It was still a good time.........but maybe if that other box had powder.......
