How did you spend your day? Day 2?

Today? Today I put pillars in my two fav rifles (didn't want to waste all that epoxy)!

First time I'd ever done that, so we will see if I can get them apart tomorrow morning!

Didn't want to have to go out for Johnson's Floor Wax, and I had a big can of Sno-Seal, which is bees wax, so that is what I used for release agent.

Drove 660+ miles to Springfield Illinois for my Grandma's funeral. Stopped at Scheels hoping they would have pound of H4350 for my 30'06 but they are cleaned out as well. Just a few hornady bullets and lead shot.

Edit: and I finally renewed my silver membership

Today I destroyed about a thousand trees and made a huge mess and visited with a 97 year old WW 2 vet, old guy could get around better than I can. I looked up and here comes this old dude across the last cut I had made a quarter mile off the road so I shut down to check on him. He just wanted to check out the machine I was running, warmed my heart talking to that guy. I was having a really bad day until he showed up and it totally changed my afternoon. God is good...

Got up a little before 7:00 am, made a pot of coffee, fed the dog, fed the cats, fed the birds then cleaned the ice and snow off the sattelite dish so I could access the interweb. After that I held my granson for a while, he'll be two weeks old tomorrow. After that it was time to exercise the snow blower, I fought with it for about 3 hours. The (blank) thing doesn't want to run unless the choke is fully engaged. After that that I took my daughter to a Drs. appointment then picked up a few things at the grocery, then on home and help fix din-din (taco Tuesday tonight). Gonna have to figure out what's going on the snow blower, the extended forcast sounds like we're gonna have more "inclement" weather. Blowin' snow beats the hell out of shovelin' snow.
I bet the jets are getting plugged up. How old is your gas ? Go to auto parts and buy a can of seafoam, take air cleaner off ,start it up and gradually squirt this in carb ,try and keep motor running and not drowned it out. I have had this work so many times. Good luck

I thought about the jets, am going to try the spray carb cleaner of some kind, the gas by the way was pumped about two days befor putting it in the tank. Thanks for your reply.

Seafood comes in spray or liquid , just pour it in a spray bottle

One of the burners on my gas cook top (DCS) wouldn’t light and kept on clicking. Guy on YouTube showed the problem. I cleaned and cleaned the secondary gas valve port and still wouldn’t light. Is has a very small port and it is down in a hole. Made a tool to clean it out. Used a 1/8” plastic rod and got a needle red hot with torch and jammed it in the end of the rod. I then carefully pushed it down to the orifice and was able to clean out the port. Yea!!! I can only imagine what a service call would have cost.

Shoveled snow and took a couple of zoom meetings before lunch and then did one more quick zoom meeting and a couple of phone calls and took one of the dogs to see the veterinarian. On the way home I mailed some bullets that I sold in the classifieds and picked up a pack of beer. I think I’ll call it a day!

Today I went to work, after that went to local shop, purchased 1k primers and new backcountry skis, broke my old ones during last weekends hunting. Weather is just great for skiing, -25 celsius and sun is shining :)

Yes sir it is, my grandfather was in the war and the guy reminded me so much of him it was kinda crazy. All the money or stuff in the world doesn’t mean squat when you get that age. He just wanted to talk and I think it made both of our days. Its truly a blessing to have men like than still going strong and your right, they don’t make men like that anymore...

I actually spent the day in the shop working on the new reloading bench “Again”, I had the frame built and sent out for powder coating but they destroyed it with a forklift so I’m starting over. It’s going to be one one heavy duty mama this time, I’m building the frame out of 11g square tubing and I’m having a butcher block counter top built for it with some Armor T Tracks installed so hopefully they don’t destroy it this time around . I absolutely love fabbing just about anything out of metal so basically I took a break today and played which was a much needed break.
