How did you spend your day? Day 2?

Well I started cleaning the drive ways at 0630 finished at about 2:30. there was a drift in my driveway I could not see over and I'm 6' tall, back side walk had a drift the entire length just over 4' deep, did not get the drive way either here or at my daughters open full width. Just no place to put the snow.
I broke the chute control on my Torro so at some point tomorrow I need to take it apart to see what happened and get some parts if needed, here I come Amazon, need them quick more snow in forecast for Sunday.
Well I'm done for the day, going to sit back and have a cold 1, maybe 2 or more, what the hell bladder is shot anyway might as well abuse it for the little time I still have it.

Day 14 of studying for the American Welding Society CWI test. 6 to 8 hours a day. A butt load of info to take in. Have been getting aggravated. Started thinking about the neighbor's house cat that has been leaving surprises in the grand kids sand box. Think I'll go outside and "walk around for awhile".

Today was the first day I didn’t spend in a hospital bed in the last week. Just thankful to be home mending. Spending time thinking of and praying for all those I saw who were so much worse off than me. I’m sure many will never leave that hospital. Don’t take anything for granted. Each day is a blessing.

Dave.

Every day is a gift from above. I pray that you are healed.

Didn't get much of anything accomplished other than walked the dog a few times, watched several Life Below Zero reruns, took the trash out to the road for pickup tomorrow. Tomorrows' highlight might be rolling the trash can back to the house unless I find something to do. I need to work on some carbon rings I've accumulated, but earlier attempts have not been successful, so I'm not really enthused to tackle it again. Weather is great for dealing with the carbon ring, 10-15 mph winds from the north, highs in the 40's, limited sunshine with the possibility of some snow flurries mixed in. Luckily we only got a dusting, so no shoveling, etc.,

Got up a little before 7:00 am, made a pot of coffee, fed the dog, fed the cats, fed the birds then cleaned the ice and snow off the sattelite dish so I could access the interweb. After that I held my granson for a while, he'll be two weeks old tomorrow. After that it was time to exercise the snow blower, I fought with it for about 3 hours. The (blank) thing doesn't want to run unless the choke is fully engaged. After that that I took my daughter to a Drs. appointment then picked up a few things at the grocery, then on home and help fix din-din (taco Tuesday tonight). Gonna have to figure out what's going on the snow blower, the extended forcast sounds like we're gonna have more "inclement" weather. Blowin' snow beats the hell out of shovelin' snow.

I shot my gun...ALL DAY!! Nail gun, that is. Got the ceiling done. Walls tomorrow. At least I’m shooting something!
Oh.....it was in the seventies again, out here on the edge of nowhere in Texas. About 20 deer watch me work, waiting for me to stop and throw them some corn.

Pulling for you to pass the test and get your stamp. Cats can be tough.

Day 3 for me,- X-rays and CT scan for upcoming surgery, then down to garage and repaired the snow blower. The cables that control the chute and deflector came loose, adjusted and tightened them down then went out and finished opening up the driveway. Works like a charm now.
Done for the day, Low back, legs and lower abdominal area all too sore to do anything else today, rain tomorrow so prepping brass will start back up in the morning.

Day 4: still carbon based. Time seems to move faster, despite my age.
I guess those aliens that beamed me up were only testing, not transmogrifying. I guess that's just the new generation.
CCl4 still smells as good as it did when I was a kid. It's still a great degreaser. Now, if only I could find my MEK to get rid of the sludge, and the jar of chlordane to nuke those odor ants.

Threading barrels for Brakes and suppressors today. Had two guys bring me 10 barrels to thread.
The power cross feed for the mill is getting closer!
