I recently purchased two carbide neck turning mandrels from PMA tools. What a difference!!! After abusing myself all those years with stainless mandrels, the carbide mandrels are like a breath of fresh air. No galling, only a trace of lube required, no heating problems and much easier going with the handles. I may buy another couple hundred cases just to neck turn them!!!!

+1........ However, no matter how well they are praised it is hard for some to bite the bullet for an item that costs a "Franklin" when a similar item only costs a bit more than a "Hamilton."
Makes one think perhaps going carbide for neck bushings will work wonders also.
