How BAT actions are made

Bartlein receivers have EDM raceways also.

Edited for correct manufacturer:

Defiance Machine receivers have EDM raceways.:D

I corrected the original post which you didn't check. I left it original just so you wouldn't think I was trying to pull the wool over your eyes.

BAT Machine is a top notch outfit, with great products and excellent staff.

I am very impressed with their personalized service and prompt phone answering, call backs and responses.

Steve even called me last week, to check on my latest action, after he saw it had been received.

Who takes orders for custom actions and parts immediately - when you call, and delivers on the promise date?

They treat me, like I am someone important.

I am certainly not.

So, I will be a customer for life.

So which action is a drop in Remington footprint? I’m assuming they’re gonna accept most triggers? I’d be interested in dropping one in a chassis made for a Remington footprint. What threads, will they accept any prefits? That video reminds me of hanging out in the LRI shop. Awesome.

I just got a mod VR to my Smith last week, got tired of not having a small caliber hunting rig, fits perfectly in an H&S stock that I had a Remington in, even hooked up perfectly with the H&S bottom metal. Also uses a Remington style Jewel trigger minus the bolt release, John
Uses 16 TPI and has a built in recoil lug, not the same as Remington. You'll have to have a new barrel or cut yours off and rechamber...need to make clear, the recoil lug works fine but the barrel threads are different..

I'm lucky enough to live 20 minutes from them. They invited me in to modify an ejector for a BAT VR and later invited me back in to fit a standard bolt face bolt to the action (hand a magnum bolt face bolt and still has that as well). Nice folks, quality product.

Northland Shooters Supply has a line of BAT actions that have the Rem thread and bolt nose diameter and work with their Remage prefit barrels. These are also Rem 700 footprint.

Thanks! That’s really cool. I will look into this.

yeah. bats are about the slickest action I have ever got a hold of

They are pretty good, but my Grandson's old Stiller Diamondback drop port was my slickest receiver. If I started over again I would go back to my start and buy a Panda in a drop port if offered.
