I have a Bergara Wilderness Ridge Carbon barrel in 6.5 PRC that shoots very well with factory ammo so I bought a second Bergara Ridge with steel barrel in 7 PRC on sale. The purpose is to have a dedicated rifle to hunt California with non lead bullets as I live in and hunt in Southern Oregon not far from the border. The only non lead ammo in stock was Outfitter which I was skeptical on due to numerous bad reports online. I was just gonna shoot it and use the brass to work up a load. I was surprised to find it shooting approximately half MOA in my initial site in at 100 yards. Velocity was about 2815 out of the 22" barrel which is not that great but with this accuracy I may just shoot it for now. My 6.5 PRC has shot sub MOA consistently with Norma match and Hornady Precision Hunter, but just barely. Wondering why most people are having trouble with both Bergara and the Hornady Outfitter ammo. I can't just be lucky.
