No. I think if it's robbing it of a little BC, it's not effecting the accuracy. It's seems to be just about the perfect twist. I think if I stepped down into a 7 twist somewhere, I could lose jackets on the 88s. I've had 7-7.5 for the .224 barrels running 3500 fps and they are churning up too many RPMs for the .224 Hornady jackets. The 8 twist slows down the spin enough to preserve jackets while still giving near full BC value. I've had barrels that loved the 88 ELDs with 8 twist barrels. Not Ackley chambers but fast cartridges.Do you think the 8twist was robbing the BC of the 88’s?
