Hodgdon aquires RCBS

AS an investor, they absolutely have some influence on the direction, but to what extent? Especially on product development, manufacturing, and distribution/pricing? They control what, 16% of total stock?

Black Rock is above all else, is about wanting to maximize profit on their investments. Their involvement/promotion of ESG/BLM and other left wing ideology is beginning to hurt them. The last quarterly financial conference call by Larry Fink touched on that. Multiple states have pulled their pension fun money from them already.

The real problem really begins when an entity is able to control the direction of the company and has no internal opposition.

Kind of like the Republican and Democrat parties....

They control the board which tells the management what to do.

And it's more like 30 to 40 percent is controlled by 3 Wall Street firms which are most likely one firm and actually not in competition, but are using satellites to avoid SEC anti trust rules.

Long story short, wall Street firms are not nationlist. They are internationalist. And they have owners that have no particular loyalty to the US, historically.

I own Vista stock, through a Vanguard fund. Vanguard Group is an investment advisory firm, and is owned by the funds managed by the company, and is therefore owned by those funds' shareholders. So I and millions of others own Vanguard.

I would prefer Vista be sold to someone who cares about its customer base, who produces enough product so there isn't a shortage and price gouging. I prefer a company that doesn't introduce a whole line of powders, tell me how good they are then discontinue the whole line. I prefer the prices be fair to both the seller and consumer. I prefer that they would not corner the market and control most all of the powder brands. But I would prefer alot of things, like honest government, careful immigration, low taxes, but none of that is going to happen either.

Macrider55 If you truly believe that companies don't intentional screw their customers, try to cancel and account with ATT or AOL. I spent 4 hours on the phone with ATT over 2 days, and when I finally canceled them they owed me $37, and told me they would send a gift card, I said heck no I sent you a check, send one back. A week later a gift card appears in the mail. I go through their process to establish a pin number, and when i try to spend it the PIN number won't work.

I don't do business with either company.

I'm struggling to recall any shooting company that changed hands were this forum liked the outcome.
Well yea Cerberus bought Remington, Marlin, DPMS, Dakota Arms and several others, tell me all the wonderful things that have happened to those companies since they were sold. Oh and for all the people that didn't notice, they were run into the ground by their American owners. Just like Bud Light. I totally want great American companies to remain American, but whose going to run them a DEI selected CEO? The colleges that have created DEI and tell us BLM and Antifa are wonderful are the same one who educated the CEOs that will run an "American company". I read on a list of the top 50 firearms makers in the USA that Colt is 20th, once one of the top 3 now run into the ground under American leadership. What new cutting edge firearms have they come out with in the last 30 years? Will CZ turn them around? Who knows? I am struggling to recall any company that has changed hands lately that actually got better or even survived. I am all over American pride and love my country, but this is not the country I grew up in.

I understand, but IMO, these threads just end up looking a bunch of people yelling "Get off my lawn".

As you said, Remington and DPMS were already run in to the ground, so what's the real loss? IMO, some of Remington's current stuff is better than the stuff just before the selloff.

I think in that movie Clint Eastwood said that to a bunch of criminal hoodlums. And then they murdered him at the end of the movie.

So, the "get off my lawn" was correct, it turns out.

BUD is not American owned any more hasn't been for years. ever heard of INBEV.?

Vista is controlled by BlackRock /Vanguard. They are not an American company either.

But no one seems to care.
what would you like us to do about it? when people vote for free stuff and the ones who tell you the truth don't win. I love my Reps in Al, just give us a call if you have a concern, no more phone #'s poof! there gone.

You are absolutely right!!! But it was an American who came up with the whole woke ad campaign that has sent their stocks and sales plummeting. Americans or not they are not like Americans that we know and live around, they are something way different. To have a company run by that kind of mind set is an insult to the hard-working American people that built this country. Why would you support them just because they live in the same country, and hate everything we find good and wholesome?
