Here are the rules Bullseye posted on Facebook yesterday:

Rules for Groundhog shoot are as follows:
All bolts are to be removed from guns a all times unless you are on the firing line shooting!

Factory class is factory gun with no changes, must be in condition it came from factory in. A factory gun can have the trigger lightened and the barrel floated and glass bedded but nothing else. No parts can be changed.

Custom class is for custom built guns.

All shooters will shoot from the prone position, unless shooter is handicapped and unable to get down into shooting position and back up then that shooter will be allowed to shoot from a bench. Use of the bench is left to the moderators discretion.

Shooters will be allowed nine shots total, three shots at 100, 300, and 500 yards.

Shooters will be allowed to shoot from bipods or sandbags.
Entry fee is $25.00 per gun entered in event.

Egg shoot is open to all shooters, entry fee for egg shoot is $2.00. One shot per shooter is all that is allowed for egg shoot.
Registration for the shoot starts at noon on the day before the shoot, shooters can sign up for the shoot up until 8am on the day of the shoot.

Shooters will be allowed to practice on the range where the match is held the week before the shoot up until 12 noon on Friday when range will be closed and will be prepared for the match.

If you have more questions please call Bullseye Sporting Goods at 704-462-1948 Tuesday through Friday, Saturday 9-2.

Factory guns are limited to either bipods or sandbags, Custom guns can shoot from anything you can carry to the line. At least that's how its been the last 7 years, but knowing Larry you can never tell.

Same this year as far as I know, Chad was just giving a general consensus of rules for folks who have never been, Good catch Led.
For all I know Larry might have everyone with an odd number slot shoot upside down:D
One thing I will add, our sport has a lot of older gentlemen and women. If you have a serious malady, health condition or joint issue you can shoot off of the bench. HOWEVER - every year it seems someone comes to Larry or calls me and says they have a bone in their leg and can't shoot prone. Conditions such as these are ultimately up to Larry to determine whether you are actually handicapped. Some folks push that a bit much for an advantage.

Anybody that wants to shoot as my guest at the Catawba Valley Wildlife Club can, I am off on Sundays and Mondays.
PM me and we will get together. Only 300 yards there but the winds are similar. Good place to get your dope.

I hope Larry isn't reading this. Hey Kevin, You still got that old worn out Savage that they said wouldn't shoot. I'll try it upside down. Just the gun, not me.
