Here we go again / A Bullet Goes Off.

I am not sure what all the animosity is about, Is it because he is NRA. many here are lifetime members? Is it because he used some incorrect terminology, that happens here a lot. Everyone knew exactly what he was talking about, there was no confusion about his meaning. So i really don't understand the negative attitude toward Mr Nior. I think he generally gives a very good image of recreational shooters to nonshooters. Could the event in the video have actually happened, members here attest to the fact that it can. The companies that make primers have accidents on a regular basis. This just seems to me like some here can boost their own ego by putting down someone else. In this time when we are rapidly losing our rights why belittle someone who is obviously on our side?

My issue is I believe the video to be faked.
Big red flag for me is that amazing coincidence that someone was videoing someone shooting at the same time an extremely/impossible event takes place.

I've read all the posts here and am not seeing the one that say the round going off by being hit with an extracted case is possible.

I could not imagine that anyone would go to the trouble to make a fake video. What would be the gain, money, fame? well maybe fame but he is already famous. Maybe I would have never thought that 10 years later and people still think the Kardashians to be worthy of adoration.

keep your area clean pin head
IF it did happen it's the shooters fault
Now I know he has been at this fo 15-20 years
but in my 52 years of this I have never had it happen, just lucky I guess

ok, I get the whole correct terminology thing, bullets are projectiles and get loaded into cartridges that go in firearms, but seriously, how many of you have ever heard someone say “I left my cartridges in the truck”, or “I need more cartridges for this relay. “

I have a much bigger peeve with “caliber“ when someone means “chambering“.
I think it is really easy to lapse into being somewhat of a gun snob, regarding being ultra precise about stuff. I suspect 99 per cent of people talking about gun stuff use the word caliber. Does not mean they are ignorant or less skilled.

Just so the rest of you have some one to look down on. When i load for handguns, i don't want to waste the life of my old chargemaster, and it really freaks out when i set it to dispense less than 7 or 8 grains. So I take an empty 9mm case and drill a hole through the base and glue a piece of brazing rod in for a handle. then i grind down the case till it holds just the right amount of powder from a load in the manual and use it for a scoop to charge my cases.

The 50 cal ricochet where the ear muffs fly off was faked. I don't think this one was.

Colin Noir fills a a pretty big spot in all things pro-firearm. If you haven’t seen or heard him, it’s worth the time. He can be found on shows like The View, or Bill Maher arguing against a panel of anti-gunners and easily holding his own. As a young black man who is respected in what is assumed to be white patriarchal racist world, he could be an easy target. He’s far from that.

Prior to law school I didn’t care about guns and I definitely didn’t care about the Second Amendment. Somewhere between law school and failing the bar, I developed a passion for guns and Second Amendment advocacy consumed me. While failing the bar multiple times, guns became my healthy distraction. Shooting was a release. When I wasn’t studying I was shooting or learning about guns. It kept me focused and driven. I had a passion for the law, but my passion for guns was different. It was brutally organic and instilled in me a sense of purpose that I never knew.

With more than 1000 videos on the internet, the one above is probably not his only dud.

Often discussing legal issues and 2nd amendment rights, he’s certainly an asset to anyone who values a legal mind who is pro gun.

It kind of sucks to see someone who has reached a lot of people, with a positive pro gun message, getting ripped by other gun owners, who really haven’t taken the time to see who he is.

As I watched the video a few hours after Colion first published it, as I understood, this incident didn’t happen to him. He was informed of the video and just reported it.

A fair amount of people record videos of themselves shooting for either there own personal reasons, or as more people have their own video publishing channels. Plus it’s obvious, at least to me, that video was cropped to show a close up of the incident.

Plus. I’ve had primers go off as they where being seated in the cartridge case primer pocket. This has happened to me using a Dillon 550 and 1050, and with a RCBS hand priming tool of the shell holder type. Always gets my attention, along with everyone in the house. About as loud as a 22LR.

The axe swings both ways.
Mr. "Noir" (that means black) is also an attorney, and the law is all about WORDS
if it's about anything, and if you ever listen to lawyers in a legal setting, they are
very careful about their terminology because Words Matter!
Now
that "bullets" are perceived to be "explosive" and "dangerous" as reported
by an "NRA Spokesman", on a "Public video" who is also a "firearms expert" and an
"attorney" and also "happens to be black", is all the anti-Second Amendment crowd
and legislators would need to begin stricter legislation regarding "bullets".
Go ahead and throw your rocks at me as a conspiracy theorist but if there is one thing
I care about it is the Constitution and the Second Amendment and with all that has
happened over the years to "infringe" and '"destroy" them both, YES, I am extra sensitive
Just remember that the Constitution and the Bill of Rights are made up of WORDS.
And the "Antis" are "Rabid" always looking for "Raw Meat"
