Help with my first build....Please share your advice and knowledge

Well it looks like everything but the optic is good to go. Still trying to justify the price of a quality optic like NF or S&B. I’ll get there i’m sure but still pondering on it. I do know that I’d like something like a 5-25x56 S&B PM2 or a NF ATACR 5-25X56 F1 with a H59 reticle. It’s just the price. Ouch!

So far here is what I’ve decided to go with.......

McMillan A5 Fully Adjustable stock
Kelbly Atlas Tactical SA
TriggerTech R700 Diamond Pro
Benchmark Medium Palma with a 8 twist 5 groove in a 6.5cm
Benchmark Standard Tactical threaded muzzle break
APA RTG trigger guard and DBM system
ACCU-SHOT BT46-LW17 PSR Atlas Bipod: Standard Hight with ADM 170s Lever (still on the fence but likely will go for it)

Should have everything to the gunsmith within the month.
Just need to figure out the optic now. If anyone has any suggestions as to where I might find the best deals I’m all ears.

Get with my man @lancexxx and get you a sightron to start out with. Put that extra money into components until you reach its limitations

When I got into competition, I started off by buying a scope that fit my budget. Over the period of 1.5 years I upgraded several times until I got to my current scope. I now wish I had just bit the bullet and purchased the scope I have up front. A lot of wasted money, buying and selling which in the long run ended up costing me more. But the increments made it manageable even though it cost more in the long run.

This was my thinking pattern also. I know me, and once I have my mind set on something I know I will never be satisfied until that “something” is realized. I’d rather spend the money now and suffer, instead of spending double or more over the course of time until I get what I truly wanted.

Yup. Everything has been ordered and starting to be sent to the GS. Waiting for the stock from McMillan which may be a few weeks to a month. It was in stock but needed to be inlet and painted. Shot Show slowed everything down but I’m hoping it won’t be long. Once it all goes to the GS it’s up to him. I’m hoping not more than a couple of months.
