Help with a ladder evaluation

Chappy

Silver $$ Contributor
I ran a ladder test today in my 6.5-284 with 140 gr. A-Max using H4831 and Fed 210Ms.

I'm a little stumped on the obvious node from 51.00-54.20.

51.0 to 51.8 show a vertical of 0.620".

52.2 to 53.0 show a 0.682" vertical spread.

I don't think these two are accuracy node is these two as there is no intermediate shot between the 0.907" of space between the two "possible" nodes like there is between 53.4 and 53.8 with a 2.550" vertical difference. What are your guy's thought?

Why not try some loads .1 gr apart between 51.0 and 51.4, and between 52.2 and 52.6?

What was the distance?

Was it a windy day ?

Contrary to Ladder standards... I also consider windage (to a lesser extent) when doing ladders... I shoot them at 330yards, not too close, but not far enough to have wind mess with the POI.

I pick 54 - 54.2

Would be interesting to see where a charge of 54.6 would have landed.
I was wondering the same thing. I'm going to load up to 55.0 this next week and see what we have and actually put the Oehler out. Had the girlfriend and all with me and just didn't want to drag on too long with her just watching me.
