Help with 284

Hey guys I finally got out to shoot a 1000yds last night with my new 284. It has a 27" Broughton 1-9 twist and chambered to shoot the 162s or 168s.

I don't have access to a cronograph anymore and was wondering if someone could give me an idea of what I may be shooting for velocity with this rifle.

I am at 1500ft elevation and it took me 25.75 MOA from a 100yd zero to be dead on at 1000yds. I only got a chance to get eight rounds in befor the wind blew me out. There was a front moving in and the wind had dropped so I dashed out to the range.

I shot three shots first at a 9" paper plate on a cardboard backer and when I went down and checked it I was about 6"s low and 10"s to the right of the plate. The wind was coming up and blew one of my shots off the target.

The two that were on only had about 3.5" vertical spread so I marked them then went back and left the same elevation but added a MOA of wind to it and shot a 5 shot group. When I checked it I had a nice 5 shot group that was exactly 5"wide and 3.25" high. The nice thing was the last 5 shots were right in line with the other two that I had shot. So all 7 shots had a max vertical of 3.5"

This has been a very consistant load so far and has shot .5 MOA or less for vertical all the way from 100 to a 1000yds if I do my part.

I would love to cronograph it to see what my ES might be. I am guessing it has to be pretty low. Thanks Guys!!!
