help indentify and value

Lee that will verify it is not a parts gun. It has no bearing on identifying the model of rifle. How would that identify the model? Bolts have been serial-ed to receivers since the 1970s or earlier.

What would be helpful is knowing if it is marked 1807, as all 1807s are marked as such, and the date code...Tom

Tom,

Tim from RFC had said in a post that some of the early production 1807 used the 1607 stock, which as you know has no cheek riser. as for the barrel having 1807, after 1965-66 they stopped putting the model and used model match 54 then started doing it on and off or whenever they felt like it.
my point is if it is stamped with a matching number on the bolt that means it came from the factory as such.
the 1600 bolt has a cut out and can only use the 5071 trigger or an early 1400 trigger, this rifle clearly has, as verified by the owner a solid bolt and 5018.
so how can it be a 1600 series rifles? perhaps like the 1600 the very first few rifles didn't have 1807 on the barrel.
