Laurie, also commented on using a good front rest. I have purchased a 21st century front rest. very easy to set up and very stable. doesn't move after shoot. this rest has helped my groups probably more then I know. Okay, one last question, or opinion I guess

As it stands, I'm taking a real look at the Kelby atlas, How would one one these build into a F Classer?

On paper it looks good, and to be honest, price is also driving the decision. They come in prety good there.

So, has anyone handled one of these?? How do they compare to say a bat? Tolerances should be high?

From what I've seen of them in match use, I'd say the two are comparable. An owner of both would have the best take on it.

They're highly regarded in F-Class as well as Benchrest and should support the long barrel you'll likely use.

As to the caliber, I vote Dasher.
I also shoot a mix of 600yd, Palma distances and 1K. I chose it for its inherent accuracy (easy to load for) and the lack of recoil (easy to drive well) - the fact that brass is cheaper and it needs so little powder are just gravy.
Where I shoot, the Dasher and BRX take their share of wins against 6.5s and 7s.
