Hello, quick load help?

Hello all,

I have a 6.5x284, I've come up with a really good load for it, I am shooting a 140 A-Max, 51.0grns of 4831SC, Lapua case, CCI BR primer. The gun has a 29 inch, 1-8" twist barrel. I am just curious what the software says the velocity and what the estimated drop is.

Are you jumping or jamming your bullet into the lands?

If you are jumping QuickLOAD shows 2821 fps.
If you are jamming QuickLOAD shows 2900 fps.

As far as drop, you can go to JBM Ballistics.com and find the drop.

Hello all,

Thanks for the help! I am lightly jamming the A-Max bullets, so I bet the 2900 is closer to my speed, thanks again!
