Haven't seen any that I recall. I know Boyer was trying them before he quit shooting. He spoke highly of them but I don't believe he ever used one in competition.Serious question, are any Hawk Hill barrels showing up in the winners list?
Jeff Summers won the SuperShoot with a Hart barrel a couple of years ago Dusty.I havent used one or known of anybody using one in 25 yrs
I do not compete in any formal competition but my gunsmith recommended Hawk Hill on my 6X47L build and I have been very pleased.Serious question, are any Hawk Hill barrels showing up in the winners list?
Hawk hill barrels have been doing really well in the 600 and 1000 yard BR matches. With some national wins.Serious question, are any Hawk Hill barrels showing up in the winners list?

I had the same thing in '98 with a ppc barrel and was told I didn't know how to clean it. I sent it back and PJ relapped it and that fixed it. I never bought another one. Roger SchuppeWhen I first started shooting Short Range Benchrest in the ‘90’s. Hart was one of the “go to” barrels.
Sometime around 1998 I had a Hart 6PPC barrel that fouled really bad, and would not shoot. I called Hart and their response was pretty rude and condescending. In short, their attitude was there was no use in me sending it to them because they were positive there was nothing wrong with it.
Fine.
I switched over to Cut Rifled Barrels, that being Krieger. When Bartlien appeared on the scene, I also started to use them.
I have won my share of aggregates through the years, however, none have bern with a Hart.
Excellent!Haven't seen any that I recall. I know Boyer was trying them before he quit shooting. He spoke highly of them but I don't believe he ever used one in competition.
Looking at the NBRSA magazine short range group matches 2023... At 2 big matches, the Cactus and the Shamrock, it was all Bartlein and Kreiger, with a couple of HWP's.
Bottom line...the barrel you buy is determined by end use.
I have harts on my PD rifles but not on my competition rifles.
Well said! That's actually 7 words. I have an issue when people say that. It seems like a lazy way to justify your own personal purchase. Just because someone hasent used that specific barrel doesn't mean it's not top tier. Why aren't we taking into account the reloads and wind reading of competitors? Literally dozens of other factors. Not saying that a green mountain blank is going to outshoot a bart, but I don't think looking at an equipment list of someone with a different skill level than me is going to help. I can't put on Jordans shoes and dunk. I can't pick up tiger woods clubs and golf.
