Despite light early morning rains, the shooters of Harry Jones finished the weekend strong with Match 6 of the 2024 1000 Yard competition. Eleven shooters shot in the heavy gun class, with Will Watkins Jr shooting the highest aggregate score of 196 and Mike Gaizauskas shooting the lowest aggregate group at 4.131 inches. Watkins Jr also shot the higest individual score for a heavy gun target with 100 points with 3x's and Gaizauskas shot the lowest individual group for a heavy gun target at 4.057 inches. Overall, Watkins Jr won the heavy gun class. Seventeen shooters shot in the light gun class, with Garrett Watkins shooting the highest aggregate score with 99 points and Dan Stepano shooting the lowest aggregate group at 4.184 inches. Stepano also shot the highest individual score and lowest individual group for a light gun target, 50 points with 2x's and 2.598 inches respectively. Overall, Garrett Watkins won the light gun class. Four shooters shot in the tactical class, with Shawn Swecker shooting the highest aggregate score with 98 points and Dave Yoho shooting the lowest aggregate group at 3.531 inches. Yoho also shot the highest individual score and lowest individual group, 50 points with 3x's and 3.301 inches respectively. Overall, Yoho won the tactical class. Only two shooters shot in the factory class, with Marty Williams shooting the highest aggregate score (86 points), the lowest aggregate group (7.106 inches), the highest individual score (44 points), and the lowest individual group (7.04 inches). Overall, Williams won the factory class. Eleven shooters participated in the two gun overall, with Rey Bellotti shooting the lowest aggregate group at 4.955 inches and Will Watkins Jr shooting the highest aggregate score of 295 points. Overall, Watkins Jr won the two gun overall.
