So basically what you are saying is the cases that click at the top of the bolt throw, after you resize there is no click at the top am I correct.Resized Peterson brass with standard FL resizing die, non bushing to 1.804 chambers and ejects easily. Would the small base die change things that much?
Now where did you come up with that? You didnt know a fl die can bump the shoulder?Kurt; Sounds like you solved your problem. You mention in your OP that you bumped the shoulder back .002 which means you didn't FL size. ALL the new brass should have been FL sized.
I disagree with this a little. You do not want the case too tight ai the .200 mark, and not at the case base. This will change the vibrations and could affect accuracy. Just my opinion.I'd stick with Lapua brass.
A small base die will probably fix the problem if indeed it is the 200 line.
A tight chamber like this is generally a good thing.

Yes DS, but you apparently don't know you can set a FL Die to only bump the shoulder. Now where did you come up with that? You didnt know a fl die can bump the shoulder?
I hate to bust anybody's bubble here. I don't care what the o p does he ain't gonna get rid of the click as long as he shoots that Peterson 284 brass sorry.
Sorry but did the poster here say he had any problems with the Norma or the lapua brass necked up, if he didn't the answer to his question is you aren't going to fix it with the brass he is questionable about the brass is the problem. Please clarify why that is...
