Hard click at top of bolt lift

Crimping was old time stuff to keep the bullets from moving forward doing recoil in factory ammo and the military ball ammo. i would guess most were also sealed for moisture. Sure was not meant to be reloaded. Lake city match didn't have a crimp………. jim

Think a little big Did 40 rounds 20 soft 20 solid 470 NE Coated crimped .
Crimping is easy . Un crimping using the primer method is bad . Larry

Every big bore seating dies have a crimp ability. That is for safety reason. Larry

I am the only reloader that uses bullet hold; I want all the bullet hold I can get. I am the only reloader that understands how fast this happens; when the trigger is pulled no matter how tight my bullets are held by the neck when the trigger is pulled the bullet is released by the neck before the bullet hits the lands unless the bullet is setting against the lands when the trigger is pulled.

I am the only reloader that uses bullet hold;

All others use tensions.

To make a statement like this implies you have spoken to or have contact with every reloader that ever was or is. The fact that you are the only one that understands a particular function.......well?

It doesn't to me .
( That is what he does . ) Till you try it how can you say it's wrong. Larry

“The fact that are”? Again; I use bullet hold, I can measure bullet hold in pounds; all others use tension without a tension gage and no conversion chart for converting tensions to pounds.

Reloaders are a polarizing bunch, I find it most difficult to 'bump' a shoulder, I know; it sounds cute but it is impossible to explain. reloaders assume they have the ability to move the shoulder back. When I move the shoulder back I upset the case body because I can not move the shoulder back. When I size a case I must have case body support.

And then there is neck tension; same thing, I can not measure neck tension because I do not have a tension gage that measures tensions like 4 tensions or 15 tensions etc., I can measure the amount of effort required to seat a bullet and I can measure the effort required to pull a bullet in pounds only, never tensions.

Impossible to explain? That's an understatement. Well, you haven't succeeded in umpteen posts.
I am beginning to wonder if you are aware die manufacturers are now making Full Length sizing dies.....they've been popular now for the last 20 years. Might be time to get some newer reloading manuals. And do you know about those new fangled "bushing" dies?
