Seen 4831 and the sc version available at LGS for $45 and was wondering what you guys have had luck with it in. I was considering picking up some to try in .243 but seems most of the powders I use are coming around except for the price.

I shoot H4831sc in the 6.5 CM, 6.5 SAUM and 284. It’s a good powder for the right applications. The 6.5CM load with 156s continues to amaze me.

H4831SC in the 6.5 Creedmoor

Particularly with 142gr or heavier bullets. With lighter bullets, I've found it a bit dirty (with unburned powder) and non-optimal velocities. Powder's a little slow, perhaps, but with heavier bullets it seems fine. Is fairly accurate.

6.5CM, Shilen select match grade stainless, 1:8" twist, 28" length.

What bullet you have in mind
Barrel length?
I will try to give GRT a spin for generic 87gr V-max in a 243
3140 fps, burnt powder 88%

Run your finger and eyes down the cartridge's listed in a couple of your reloading manuals and you will see numerous one's they can be used in. Both are good powders in many.

Hodgdon provides the following data, Note the MV os those loads are higher than what GRT can predict
So the user has to start low and catpure some data and if tune GRT to his MV or compare to Hodgdon MVs
