56gr Yeilds just over 3100 with just the first hint of pressure..
Loaded 55.75 grains and 54.9 to retest today.
Also some H4831 SC to compare on this new barrel as that has been my standard for sometime now.

When I first started load development in mine I had some IMR 4831 and H4831 142 SMKs and 140 Amaxs, I would never have guested but the IMR and Amaxs made the best groups. Several years later it tried the VV165 and 140 bergers, I think its the best powder for a 6.5-284.

Just wanted to try H1000 as it seemed to be a good fit for the case size. Kinda had my finger's crossed that it would work. some times it seems a powder that should work just don't. Been shooting this case since 1999 or there abouts. Have gone through a barrel or three like most folks, too bad the lower BTU powder does not seem to hold together like I was hopeing it would. Oh well it was worth a try.
Im back to h4831sc AND its shooting just fine. Shot it sunday in a 3X1000 yard match to confirm. 140Hybrids at 2965fps.
