@CT10ring V-flats are next on my list. I had built some shortly after I shot those rifles on the black background, but had a storage unit burglarized and lost lots of equipment. Thankfully my monoblocks I had at the new house, but most all of my studio gear, lighting mods, triggers, my entire collection of vintage and modern rangefinder, and lots of other gear was gone. I'm going to pick up a couple 4'x8' sheets of coroplast soon. Paint one side flat black and put a tape hinge in the middle.

Speaking of v-flats, heres a couple I've done on a much smaller scale. These were for a new bullet manufacturer as teaser pics. The red one later had a logo applied which accounts for all the negative space.

We had a few B47s come through Ladd AFB in Fairbanks, Alaska during the middle 50s plus a lot of other interesting birds.

In the early 60's I saw a B-47 flying with the drag chute fully opened just south of Springfield, OH. I don't know what happened but there was nothing in the news about a crash. Back then F-100's flew out of the Nation Guard air base and caused many sonic booms.

To keep it short, I am a commercial photographer. Most my work is with the aviation industry. I do a lot of work on private and corporate aircraft such as gulf stream, falcon, etc.... But once I was on a crew on a shoot for National Geographic and we were photographing a x47b drone. One of the most incredible experiences of my life. To work on such an incredible machine up close was such an honor. Such American horsepower was awe inspiring. It was pretty much like standing next to a space ship. So the name has more sedimental meaning to the coolest shoot I have worked

Not a gun picture but I got some nice shots of a crop duster over the house. In this one, he rolled out and was pointed directly at me probably under 1,000' up. I used a DSLR crop body with a 300mm lens.

I worked on those Hydra 70 missile warheads some years ago, civilian for a defense lab.

Butch, he was a radar tech, flew to get more pay, plus it must have been fun! I don't recall him telling of going to AK, but he may well have.
I know he flew to Azores, Africa, England, more. For a farm boy who literally plowed peanut rows with a mule and a plow in his teens - pretty
eye opening. Personally, I thing the B-47 is a beautiful plane. still. I visited SAC museum in Omaha. amazing!

If you ever make it to Ohio, the Wright-Patterson Museum is the world's largest military aircraft museum, and it's free. Through some political moves, they never got one of the space shuttles. That should have been #1, free and centrally located near Dayton, Ohio.
