Gun Club Bathroom Humor

Not a gun club, but firearms were plentiful:
Thompson's Corner Saloon, Cordelia, CA early 1980s (back when it was almost a bikers bar where everyone got along well, Air Force from Travis, sailors from Mare Island, cowboys, farmers, truck drivers, outlaw bikers and some civilians that were lost). No two pieces of furniture matched. Never had any problems.
One night around 10PM after being there since Noon sampling "bourbon and branch", I mistakenly (honest) wandered into the ladies restroom.
Some lady had wrote on the wall: "If I'm not in bed by 10 I'm going home!".

Got a buddy, career LEO. Got "bubble gut", whipped into a McDonalds. Ran to the bathroom, frantically struggling to remove duty belt and (in his words) proceeded to blast porcelain from toilet bowl. Heard someone come in, groan in disgust and leave. When finished gets the gun belt back on and leaves. But as he opened the door he sees the sign for the men's bathroom across the hall. Said he snuck out the back through the kitchen. I bring it up all the time. Funny as hell.

We’ve got a sign in the men’s room at our gun club that says:

“If you can’t hit the target in the standing position, try the sitting position.”

They host a lot of precision smallbore matches that include prone, kneeling, sitting, and standing positions. I thought that was clever.

Our HOA clubhouse has a sign in the bathroom like that with a target! When I see it I always think to myself, "self, I can only wish that I could hunt here, there's a ton of deer and turkeys..."
Yeah, ... I'm in Florida. We have pigs (and other small critters) on the Golf course. I can only watch them.

I just got an email from MidwayUSA, as of June 1st, California residents are being charged an extra 11% that the State signed into effect. Ammo needs to go to an FFL. They can take my press from my cold dead fingers...LOL

EDIT: This is exactly what it says:

Dear Customer,
Effective today, the state of California will require FFL dealers to charge an 11% excise tax on all purchases of ammo and firearms. While it’s a very unfortunate law, we are fully compliant and can still sell you ammo and firearms, shipping to your FFL dealer of choice.

When you place an order for ammo or firearms, we’ll give you a rough estimate for what additional charges you can expect to pay when you pick your items up from your FFL dealer. However, only your FFL dealer will have the specific instructions from regulators on how to calculate the exact excise tax. To facilitate that, we will also send a copy of your invoice to the dealer when you place the order.

Although some online retailers have announced they will not be shipping ammo or firearms to California because of these laws, that’s simply not the case here at MidwayUSA. We will do everything we can to continue supporting our great Customers in California.

Thanks for your business,

MidwayUSA Customer Service
