90% sure no personal flags allowed in thes TX BR series 400 yard matches.

Thanks for the clarification. I saw that the 2016 entry form contained on the link you provided earlier in this thread stated that restriction. But since we used them recently, I thought that was an outdated match rule. Guess not.

Doesn't matter. I can use the small boulders being blown across the range to judge direction.

I doubt this match will be over before 2
The entry form linked above was for a match at my range in Huntsville, not for this match at Graham.
When the Shooter of the Year for the clay bird matches was done away with, that opened up the door for each range to make their own rules.
Someone from the Graham Club needs to chime in and clarify the personal wind flag question. I don't want to post the match directors phone number on the internet without their permission.

These clay bird shoots are a lot of fun and in no way easy. You get hooked watching them blow to pieces.

Ive been wanting to do it for years. Who is it that does the unknown distance, no sighters clay birds on the chainlink fence deal i heard about where they dont tell you the distance til you get to the firing line?

Have not heard about the match you described.
These 400 yd clay bird matches have been going on in Texas pre 2007.
Basically the same rules and targets since then. There was a time when you would have 60-70 shooters at a match.
Due to personal reasons I stopped having matches at my range for a couple of years but we are back having 500M Fly Shoots and next year will be having a 400 yd clay bird match. Hopefully we can start the Shooter of the Year program again based on the matches in Utopia, Hallettsville, San Angelo, Graham and Huntsville,
