Gouging in factory chamber

So this is the first factory rifle I’ve had since getting a bore scope and I took a look and there are these gouges in the chamber. I cleaned to make sure that it wasn’t just something in the chamber.

With the naked eye I cannot see them I was wondering what the consensus is should this be a call to savage?

Since it’s a savage, how well does it shoot?
I have never gone to ‘bore scope school’. Consequently I have no idea what I’m looking at. I’ve looked thru many barrels with the naked eye. Some look like sewer pipes. I spend my time looking at my targets. Strictly 100 yard bench rest shooter. I shoot in the 2’s and occasionally in the 1’s. I did buy a bore scope because it was on sale. Looked in my barrels. I guess it was interesting but actually not really.
Wasted money? Nope. It’s perfect for examining cylinder walls thru the spark plug hole.
Let us know how your rifle shoots and also what Savage has to say.

It is not been shot yet, I just picked it up today. So I’m also not able to look at the brass and see if it’s leaving any marks

It's looking like the scratches are on one side of the chamber only, but that might just be the angle of the camera.

Can you chamber a round?

You may as well check out the leade and see if that is cut straight as well.

Yes, it chambers a round.

The marks are only on the bottom portion of the chamber

If the brass expands into the gouge on firing, then it might not extract, if the swelling is big enough and the gouge likewise. All guess work until then. At this stage I would go with #11.

Borescopes make everything look bigger. I'm neither a machinist nor gunsmith and never judge a new chamber or barrel by what my borescope shows before ever firing a round.

M-61 is right, shoot it and see first, Savage will fix it if it doesn't.
