Good for a laugh

PS not trying show of or discredit you by what you call "hybrids" are actual
Bullarrows I've using them for years
Low recoil i can shoot them
(All day long as long as I do my part)
Hey dog capper getting tired yet ?
Anyway just wanted to share that , after all you guys have passed on so much !!:rolleyes::rolleyes:

This stuff is pretty technical and I don't want to stuff up, how long does he cook the bullet with the torch ??
And could he help me out a get a external rifled barrel I know rifling makes a big difference I'm pretty smart like that

I heard boltfluter can twist your barrel and your bolt to make the twist faster. I have seen his work and though I admit I do not understand it, nor have I used it, it sure does look great. By the looks of it to me, the deep outside twist tightens the bore, imparting a hammered rifling to the inside of the bore. Swaging the inside after twisting, using a stainless button and a mix of kroil and JB paste will then smooth any imperfections, remove the dreaded carbon donut and allow you to moly coat your hybrid VLD with danzac which makes the bore less apt to collect moisture and corrode when you store it underground. If you also coat your cartridges in templac it will allow them to be stored longer, and will assure that your bullets do not become welded to the inside of your cases, which, if it happens, causes irregularity and vertical strings of the vapor trail you can see to mark your shots. I always coat my brass in templac after loading, so I can avoid that welding action. I also seat my bullets with only .0002 neck tension using a modified and honed (I use a chicken bone and JB paste to hone) bushing. The templac also serves to anneal my case WHILE firing, which saves me a step later. I am all about efficiency.

when cooking the bullet with a torch, it is best not to use a loaded cartridge to hold it. I hold the bullet tip in my finger and heat the bottom of the bullet. When it gets too hot to hold I simply drop it in water. Of course everyone has a different sensitivity to heat, so YMMV. Just make sure you do not hold the base and heat the tip, as this will cause bullet droop, which will result in fishtailing of the bullet. I might mention that this was the original OP's issue. Surprised no one here diagnosed it earlier.

That's the ticket..

And... make sure you ONLY use moly coated bullets after the barrel gets really HOT... because that teflon type coating keeps them from sticking in the barrel.

You could start at 24 hour...but the sheer number of researchers there may skew the scientific results. I suggest you stay here, cause we are smarter.

Now, in regard to the above mentioned coriolis effect, vortex enhancement, ducted fan technology, I might note that barrel twist is VERY important. I have seen barrels on my friend's, friends', cousin's weapon that had been twisted so much that they had groves on the outside! Wow does that rifle shoot! But even better he has one that he twisted so much that the bolt twisted too, and it shoots better! He told me that by having a fast twist bullet barrel he can shoot bullets loaded in his pre-heated cartridge (I saw him cooking them with a torch) that are so long they call them hydrids. They have have an ovid that makes them slippery, so not only do they shoot faster and and higher, they shoot longer..
Just FYI I hold the patent on the Mobius strip barrel!

Since I am unfamiliar with the Mobius strip barrel, I am now concerned that someone I know may have violated the patent unknowingly, and may have a fiduciary responsibility. Can you describe your patent? Cause all I did was heat my barrel....er...I mean his barrel, and clamp it in a vise, then locked on with a pair of big vise-grips and a breaker bar. I simply twisted it faster till it looked good. My bad. Sorry if I ...er...someone infringed.

I would tell you more but it's classified. As long as the infringement was unintentional I'll let it slide.

Now that is downright funny! Ok, I guess I have over-educated all of you'uns enuff for the day, so I am gonna head down to my bunker and develop a newer, faster bore cleaner. Anyone have a spare battery operated drill I can borrow?

Daniel brother's
If you have trouble with bullets stuck in the barrel . the " simple's" solution ! Hold barrel muzzel down, fill with water up to 1" short of breach load and fire, water won't be compressed
I know it's so simple and don't forget it will have a Little more recoil

you would have to be drunk on something to shoot a rifle with an external... and internal rifled twist barrel.

But then again... maybe you can't have too much twisted rifling.

PS.... is there such a thing as untwisted rifling...?

From following this thread, it looks like "cabin fever" has really set in. Throw another log on the fire and warm your insides with your favorite spirits.

Just when I thought I had it all figured out, now we can have VORTEK twisted barrels....I am wondering if they be best used with soft lead bullets, cast, of course, over a log in my fireplace. I don't see any way a normal jacketed bullet could conform to such a deep twist. Paper patch maybe?

When will it ever end with these new advances in tech?

You know, the funniest part of this entire thread is that some where out there some poor, sick idiot is reading every word trying to learn something about guns and trying to figure out what all you "experts" are talking about!!!!!!! BY now, he really thinks he's getting a heck of an education. I am actually getting to that point myself, just sayin'.....

I am kinda hoping that when the dawning of realization hits, that reader can see every jest, caricature, oxymoron, wiggle phrase, and flat out lie and get a good giggle. Of course despite me "doing my part" "all day long" his MMV, and he might not laugh as hard as I have reading this over and participating in the fun.;):D
