I'm old, smarter in some ways and lazy.
No to all the above.
No to all the above.
You're right, But I have a feeling I'm close on the Boo Boo?With as much information as Dave freely shares, if he was gonna tell us he woulda told us.
I guess you missed the part when I said I was lazy.Shortened 30 boo boo?
Brass that never wears out, And better internal volume than 30br.
That would be a lot of work.I guess you missed the part when I said I was lazy.

Easy to do compared to a lot of things I've done over the years.
I wanted large bullet holes for these tired eyes along with accuracy, then enough velocity to help but not too much.
Stand by for news
With the little bit of extra capacity I had Randy Robinette make me some 125's. Back when I made 30 cal. bullets 125's shot great. VV 133 and 2015 is what I'm going to start with. One of those should work. I had an old 30 American barrel, 30-14 twist barrel that Ed Shilen made for me back in late '80s. It had very few rounds on it so I chambered it up for some preliminary load work. Interesting to see the difference in the steel between the Shilen and the Bartlein.I kept looking at that posted pic of yours and it just did not look
like that wide of a case to be in the .308 family.......Just before his
passing, I had a good phone conversation with Stan Taylor similar
to this. He was getting ready for the Tack Driver working with a
30x47, and dang if he did'nt bring up a possible 30 GT for the
future. He wanted that bigger hole the 30x47 would give him but
said he still could not convince himself about a bullet/powder
combo in the short time period, and felt he'd stop screwing around
and put the love to the 30x47.
For what it's worth.....A 112gr 30, with a powder range of N-133 to
H-4198 and a sloooooow twister, I do believe you will find a happy
place. I'm bringing one of my 7's but for other reasons.....LOL
I'm surely following......
