Garmin Problem

Old Navy

Gold $$ Contributor
Took my new Sig and Garmin out this morning to see what my defensive rounds were clocking. I have had this unit for several months now and it never missed a rifle shot. Not so with my Sig. Target was set at 25 yards. No matter where I set the Garmin it never picked up one shot out of 20 fired. I tried at least 8 different positions. Left ,right, close to the muzzle and back to 15". No cigar. When I got home I tried it with my pellet gun which worked on day one before I got to the range with bigger stuff. The screen flashed each time I fired. It was really a short flash but looked like a " 1 ". Any ideas? I will go out in the morning with my .284.

What velocity did you expect from your Sig?
Checking the velocity of my Sig ammo was the secondary reason I went to my range. While watching the coverage of the assassination attempt someone made the comment that a LEO on the ground with a clock could have taken the shooter out. I doubt that but at least maybe kept him from shooting. I set my target up at 25 and then at 50 yards. I used one soft bag to cradle my hands and shot the groups below. 20 years ago I have done without the rest. The white markers are 25 and the green 50. To answer your question, I just wanted to know if the Hornady Critical Duty was as advertised. I am glad I started with FMJ target ammo first.
